Movie: Edward Scissorhands

Something dark and siniter has arrivied and it is awesome ! One of tim burton's flim and if ur a fan of him then YAY!

Edward Scissorhands
The Spiky Plot
Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands opens as an eccentric inventor (Vincent Price) lovingly assembles
a synthetic youth named Edward (Johnny Depp). Edward has all the essential ingredients for today's
standard body, with the exception of a pair of hands. For what is initially thought to be a temporary
period, he is fitted with long, scissor-like extremities that, while able to trim a mean hedge, are hardly
conducive to day-to-day life.

When the kindly inventor dies, however, Edward is left lonely  and cursed

with some very heavy metal for hands. He is eventually taken in by Peg Boggs (Dianne Weist), an Avon
lady who takes pity on him after seeing his bleak existence.
Edward, in spite of his inherent ability to

slay anyone he comes across, is a gentle soul whose only wish is to be loved. His impromptu family has,
at best, a limited understanding of Edward, but he finds himself drawn to Peg's weary but sympathetic
daughter, Kim (Winona Ryder), who is dating Jim (Anthony Michael Hall), the neighborhood bully.

Meanwhile, Edward finds himself a local celebrity after the town realizes that his talents include creative
hedge trimming and an unrivaled ability to cut hair. His so-called friends are proven fair-weather when
Edward is accused of a crime, after which his only supporters are Peg and Kim.

Some eerie thoughts to slain
I absolutely love this masterpiece by dark director Tim Burton. It has developed a cult following
among older kids, and it remains a dark, romantic and deeply deeply moving lesson about accepting
differences. I really cannot stress how incredible this film is... The acting is incredible, Johnny Depp
plays a lost, frightened Edward so well that it seems real.

Movie: Warm bodies

Hello ! :D how has everyone been lately? good luck in whatever ur doing :D This we are introducing and movie called WARM BODIES. So zombie lover must be excited ?

WARM BODIES

Warm Bodies
is a 2013 American paranormal romantic zombie comedy film based on Isaac Marion's novel of the same name. Directed and written by Jonathan Levine, the film stars Nicholas HoultTeresa Palmer and Analeigh Tipton.

After a zombie apocalypse, R, a zombie, spends his days wandering around an airport which is now filled with hordes of his fellow undead, including his best friend M. R and M achieve rudimentary communication with grunts and moans and occasional near-words. As a zombie, R constantly craves human flesh, especially brains, as he is able to "feel alive" through the victims' memories he experiences when he eats them.

While R and a pack of zombies are out hunting for food, they encounter Julie Grigio and a group of her friends, who were sent out by Julie's father from a heavily-fortified, walled-off human enclave in a nearby city to recover medical supplies from abandoned buildings. R sees Julie and is drawn to her. After being shot in the chest by Julie's boyfriend, Perry, R kills him while Julie is distracted, and eats his brain, giving R his thoughts and memories, making his attraction to Julie even stronger.

So what what what is going to happen next :D ? How about reading our thoughts on this.

It's a zombie movie that's the opposite of a zombie movie, which is a reason to sorta love it. Warm Bodies is a charming, fresh and always funny "zom-com" with a lot of heart, thanks to director Jonathan Levine's ability to explore love in the most unexpected of places. I really can't say I enjoyed this film, however, I didn't loathe it either.

Movie: Spirited Away

Hey-low people :D how's everyone mood , feel quite sad lately :P ( did not know our post has that much effect) :P anyway yes again it's another emotional sad story , especially the music i love it , it's so awesome and relate-able! Simply the best :D Highly recommend to people who are feeling down as of now to hear theis particular soundtrack ( i will be posting it here) and also watch the movie , it will definitely help in making you feel better !

So we're done with the teary intro and on toward the movie which is Spirited Away. It is not an anime so don't let that poster fool you. It's a disney movie but not like the others type of princess stories in fact calling it a disney movie is kind of an insult to the creator of this wonderful and fabulous film! ( no offense to disney i still liked their kind of princess-like plots but this particular flim is way off their league).

The Spirit-less Plot
Ten-year-old Chihiro Ogino and her parents are traveling to their new home when her father takes a wrong turn. The family enters a magical world and her father insists on exploring and they cross a dry riverbed. While Chihiro's parents eat at an empty restaurant stall, Chihiro finds an exquisite bathhouse. She meets a young boy, Haku, who warns her to return across the river before sunset. However, Chihiro discovers too late that her parents have turned into pigs and she is unable to cross the flooded river, becoming trapped in the spirit world.

Not knowing what to do and feeling rather helpless , she began to run , run and run hoping all this was just a bad dream of hers and she would wake up. But to no avail , at last she came to a sudden shore and found that the way she came was myteriously filled with water. It was then haku appeared , reaasuring her ....the rest of the plot is how chihiro survives in the spirit world by getting a job in the bath-house. Watch the movie to find out more about how she over-come those challenges and will she ever get to leave this spirit world , and will her parents ever get to turn back to normal again!

Some idea/comments to wonder as you listen to the soundtrack below ( near the trailers)
This is by far one of my fav movie (all time) , it all started when chihiro need to move to a new house. And was force to changed school , meeting new friends , i bet most of us experiences this feeling of lonely and sadness. Then by a unexpected chance , she was thrown into the spirit world. What i like most is that even though in her current situation , she still bravely endure it and has to work along side with spirits in the bath house to survives! For a 10 year old , she sure is awesome! Not to mention some of the spirits those like humans and it's like bullying in school

Then in that myterious world , she learn about friendship. the joy of making new friends and even though you may never get to see them again they too still live in our hearts and all those other mushy stuffs! (reminds me of my graduation where i have to leave my friends Sign~)

Magical is a word used casually about films like this, films about fantasy and childhood. Yet this one really does deserve it: an enchanted and enchanting feature from the Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki which left me feeling lighter than air.

It can be compared with 'alice in wonderland' but with more emotional music and story that unfold to reveal something darker and more secretive !

Apart from the stories and dialogue, "Spirited Away" is a pleasure to regard just for itself. This is one of the year's best films.

Trailers & Song that i loved dearly :D !

Movie: Face/off

So to break this emotional chain of sad recommendation of shows/anime/movie , oh wait what am i talking about it's impossible (LOL) anyway we're destined to have sad shows for a while :P

well to be honest , i don't really think this is an emotional movie , more action packed and stuff with a little sad backstory i guess.

We're introducing Face/
off

The Swapping/Confusing Plot
FBI Special Agent Sean Archer (played by John Travolta) has a personal vendetta against civil freelance terrorist Castor Troy (played by Nicolas Cage) after Castor killed Archer's son Michael while trying to assassinate Archer. During one of castor act he was caught but the FBI has no idea where the bombs are . Thus Archer agrees to undergo an experimental face transplant surgery, giving him the appearance of Castor; this process is only known to his immediate supervisors and Dr. Walsh who performs the surgery.

The medical operation is a success: Archer's hair, muscles and other necessary physical parts are altered into Castor's and his face is switched with Castor's, whose now faceless head is bandaged and Archer's face is stored in a tank of water. Archer (now played by
Nicolas Cage) is taken to an offshore high security penitentiary, Erewhon Prison, and meets with Pollux ( 'his brother') ...in hope of gaining the bomb's location !

But wait....that's not all , what about castor who was in a coma due to his 'act'. WHAT POSSIBLE story is there left to be unfold.....and why is Archer who is still in the prison finding clues suddenly appear back in the FBI HQ COULD IT BE?.....
Find out more as you watch the movie and learn about both of their secrets and stuffs.
Some thoughts to ponder
Watching Travolta and Cage play dual hero and dual villain roles remains the most enjoyable aspect. The dramatic scenes have emotional gravity, while the exhilarating action sequences defy gravity. The high-tech stuff is flawlessly done, but the intriguing elements of the movie involve the performances. Travolta and Cage do not use dubbed voices, and don't try to imitate each other's speaking voices precisely when "occupying" each other's bodies !

So for all those action-packed , sci-thriller type of people ! WATCH THIS EPIC MOVIE :D

NOTHING even words can't be compared with Trailers ! So there :D

Movie: Forrest Gump

And yes good things do come to those who wait :P
We decided to share something we felt it should be shared!
We, the editors, has been to this program in our school , ngee ann poly, called dialogue in the dark.

A little insight : We are lead by visually impaired guides into an completely/total darkness area (it's freaking huge! which also contains scenes *no spoilers* go experience it yourself) where we experience how the blind 'see' in the dark. Not only that you get eat in the dark as well ( mind you it's not an easy task!)...overall it's been an awesome experience for all of us!

To get more information go to http://www.np.edu.sg/DID/Pages/default.aspx ! It is definitely worth going and although they have a disability....but they chose to accept it and display it in such an awesome way. In that dark room aren't we the ones being 'disabled' *hehe*

But that's not the main point of today's post , we're going to introduce a movie that also some-what relates to a disability person as well T_T which make the disabled worthy of our respect!

The movie is  Forrest Gump (although old but still enriching!)
The Disabled Plot!
Forrest Gump is a 1994 American epic romantic comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Tom HanksRobin WrightGary Sinise and Sally Field. The story depicts several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a naïve and slow-witted yet athletically prodigious

Stupid is as stupid does," says Forrest Gump (played by Tom Hanks in an Oscar-winning performance) as he discusses his relative level of intelligence with a stranger while waiting for a bus.  He talks about his life experiences to strangers that passby while waiting for that bus ( the purpose revealed later as to why he was there ) .

And we are shown/thrown into his flash-back and learned about Forrest as he makes his pilgrim's progress from the '50s to the '80s, becomes a college football star, a Vietnam war hero, a shrimp tycoon and even a father.

The ending is emotional and yet at the same thing relate-able all the more you should see this movie !

A man with a low I.Q. has accomplished great things in his life and been present during significant historic events - in each case, far exceeding what anyone imagined he could do. "Forrest Gump" is the story of a man who rose above his challenges, and who proved that determination, courage, and love are more important than ability.

See how awesome those disabled people are ?

The next time you came across a disabled people , a word of appreciation/or even a simple greeting/helping hand might cheer them up instead of ignoring/judging them! i say they are the most bravest souls i seen , to continue living with hopes and dreams despite being born like this :3

Emotional TRAILERS has arrived :P

Movie: Hanamizuki

How's everyone days ? We're all getting prepared for Tests and Assignment ! Are u doing the same ? Hopefully it all works out and everyone can finally get to enjoy during the holidays :D
This time we're recommending a movie to help brighten your love-life :P

Hanamizuki (ハナミズキ Hanamizuki) is a 2010 Japanese romance drama film inspired by the lyrics of a love song of the same name by Yō HitotoThis film spans the years of 1996 to 2006. That is how long they were sort of 'separated' , facing many many and i mean a lot of challenge ....will they ever get together ?

The ♥ Plot
it begins with two strangers, studying in different schools but meet by chance or fate. Sae (Yui Aragaki) is a dedicated high school student seriously studying for a college entrance exam and while riding the train, accidentally met Kouhei (Toma Ikuta), a family oriented guy who attends a school about fishery. Hurrying to school for their exams, the train got derailed and they tried to travel by other means which ended in an accident. It was a bad start for both, but they managed to somehow overcome the initial tragedy. They began to develop a strong friendship, until finally Kohei becomes Sae’s boyfriend....and ? well er hmmm ya WATCH THE MOVIE WHY ARE U STILL HERE ?

Since you're still here :D Read our thoughts about this movie then maybe it will drives you to see the movie :P

The story itself is a combination of romance, drama and comedy. Most of the situations and actions were convincing since it can happen in reality. The way the main characters were dressed was appropriate, it really brought out the best in them and the way they delivered their lines and expressions were felt by heart.  It's actually realistic how they look at love and also ambition in life. and the soundtrack is good too

Movie: Starry Starry Night (星空)

HI HO miss us ? Well we do :P anyway it's a Taiwanese movie :D don't let the picture/tittle fool you into thinking it's a anime :D

Starry Starry Night (星空) is a 2011 Taiwanese-Chinese fantasy drama film based on an illustrated novel by Taiwanese author Jimmy LiaoThe film was direct by a young director Tom Lin from Taiwan.

THAT PLOT
Xiao Mei used to live with her grandparents up in the mountains. When she later moves to the city to live with her parents, she finds the place cold and distant as compared to the village. One day, Xiao Mei was attracted to a beautiful recorder melody of a Christmas carol being played by her neighbor. She later learns that the neighbor is called Xiao Jie, a problematic child who is a new student in her school. Xiao Mei starts to be attracted to Xiao Jie since they share similar problems.

Suddenly, shortly after her beloved grandfather's death, Xiao Mei's parents announce that they will be divorcing. Upon hearing that, Xiao Mei's world starts to fall apart. She runs away from home, together with Xiao Jie, to visit the small wooden shack that she shared with her grandparents in the past.

When two of them have reached the log cabin of XiaoMei’s grandparent, XiaoMei has a high

fever due to the rain when there are waiting of the starry night to be appear. When she awoke, XiaoJie have left her. Will XiaoMei ever have a chance to meet XiaoJie again? Let us watch this movie.

The film comes with a touching epilogue that at first feels unnecessary, but completely sells itself in the film's final moments. STARRY STARRY NIGHT is as much about children coping with family issues as it is a coming-of-age story for its young protagonists and is a tender, heartfelt treat about the end of childhood and the loss of innocence and a flight of fancy well worth taking.

NEEEEEED TRAILERS !

O.O Watch the movie to find out the rest ! is hiro and mika going to get together ??? what problems may arise o.o ??....

Our random comments :P !

This film is one of the amazingly touching Japanese drama films. The basic story line itself is quite a simple one , Of course, there are twists and more complications within the story ! This movie is slightly predictable and unpredictable at the same time. The cinematography is beautiful to look at. There are better films of this genre out there, though this is probably one of the better looking ones. Despite being set in the countryside, the high school students look like they're model :P ( duh)

Movie: Pacific Rim

Wooohooo due to request by
Moviemanic: Can you do a post about Pacific Rim?
*hehe* This time we're introducing a movie that called Pacific Rim! :D
i can tell most of you would be excited soooo :D without much blah blah (LOL).
we bring you Pacific Rim :P

       Exciting/Action-filled Plot :P
It's Time...LOL :P soooo The year is 2020 and the world is at threat , along side a fantastic prologue , showing how a rift in the bottom of the Pacific created a wormhole into another dimension where an army of monsters called Kaiju emerged , In order to fight the monsters, giant robots known as Jaegers were created, which humans would pilot from inside by using a device similar to an eliptical machine. With many more secrets to uncover as well as the purpose of the kaiju ( well beside taking over our world) and possibly the orgins!? Well to know more , it's best to watch the movie in cinemas SHOWING NOW so get your tickets and popcorn ready cause it's going to be an awesome ride to destruction!

As Always : TRAILERS !!! :D

First look into the trailer and most of you would already be amazed by the special effect and graphics of the movie. Furthur-more if you think it's just some machines (Robots) vs Monsters then you are wrong!

It's nothing like your average Robots vs Monster , it's for the survival of MANKIND with big robot and hideous monster! It's truly GO BIG OR GO EXTINCT!

If you’re interested in an over-the-top, purely action-packed popcorn movie then Pacific Rim is made for you.
WIth Creatures go crashing into buildings; in one scene a ship is used as a club to whack the enemy with, and battles rage both up in the skies and below in the oceans too but what separates this heap of destruction from other recent fare like “Man of Steel” and “Transformers” is that del Toro never stops to show us just how “awesome” the destruction is, the focus during the battles is almost always on the Jaeger and Kaiju.

Also fans of “Hellboy” and “Pan’s Labyrinth” will surely find “Pacific Rim” to be a culmination of the director’s visual oeuvre, plus discovering plenty new material. (There's also a nice cameo from Hellboy star Ron Perlman as an underground smuggler of precious kaiju organs.) *hehe*

*hehe* so without further ado , i shall introduce this entertaining movie.

Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story is an American TV film directed by Peter Levin. It was first released on April 7, 2003 in the United States. This movie is adapted from Liz Murray's autobiography, Breaking Night

O.O The Plot

Thora Birch stars as Liz Murray, who is very smart and talented but lives with a drug addict, schizophrenic mother and a father, who is intelligent, but has AIDS.

Not like us, Liz does not have a warm family. She is made homeless when the family is evicted due to not paying the rent and after her mother's death due to AIDS it strike her in the head. If she was to continue living like this , one day she would be like her mother. Death without any funeral rites what so ever , not even a tombstone! This fueled her determination and went to take her secondary school examination. Always hated school due to her family background and is a rebel.....

What happens next? Do she get to continue studying? Will she ever have a happy ending?
Find out more by watching the movie yourself :D
Oh and did we mention it's based on a true story :P makes it more touching.

Well my comment on the movie after i watched is that,
Sometime, when we have difficulties, we will choose to give up without trying. I am a person who like to give up easily and that may cause loss of chance. This movie tells us that the journey to achieve your goal may be difficult, but we must push ourselves and make our life good. So, if you have a dreams, please just try your best to achieve it. Work hard as possible as you can and see what’s happens.

And Yes! Trailers for this movie !
